San Antonio Summer

I loved going to San Antonio growing up - it always felt festive, alive, historical, and just so colorful. Julianne had not 1, but 2 trips to "Sand Tonio" this summer. The first was with Mimi, Papa, and Aunt Lauren while Dad was on a Man Trip to Montana. It was a great trip complete with a visit to the San Antonio Zoo - built in an old rock quarry during the Great Depression to give men work. We also went to the Alamo, rode a Riverwalk boat, ate lots of great Mexican food, went swimming, etc. Jules was calling Aunt Lauren, "My Friend" by the end of the trip. Everyone helped me out a lot in caring for Jules as I started to feel very uncomfortable in the heat and at night on this little get-a-way. Thanks for a great vacation guys!

Enjoying some local music - we were told it would cost $5 before they started singing. Geeesh.

Pouting while Lauren and I tried to get lottery tickets to Wicked that was playing in an old theatre- we did not win the lottery tickets - oh well!

The Zoo!
